Controlling and predicting the supramolecular structure of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) prior to synthesis is an unmet challenge. Our group is interested in exploring the use of templating cations of diverse geometries to control the geometrical outcome of pore growth.

Carbon Dioxide Capture and Conversion via Ligand Controlled M-C Oxidative Additions
With the recent dramatic increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels new methods for CO2 utilization are necessary. Our group is
focused on developing new ligand scaffolds that precoordinate the Lewis basic oxygen on CO2 with a Lewis acidic functional group leading
to M-C bond formation.
